I watched them stare at me, that familiar chill once again crawled along my spine and spread into my skin.
They were plotting something i knew it. I couldn’t shake the feeling. It was moving under my skin, putting the hairs on my neck on edge. Their eyes piercing, seeing right through me, revealing nothing.
They whispered in their native tongue, me, flying above in a private Aeroplane, uncertain of my destination was worried, worried for my life. Worried that i had gotten myself into something they had planned from the beginning. I looked out the window.
It was a long way down.
Shame i didn’t have a parachute.
I felt something brushing across my neck, reacting, my whole body convulsing in shock, turning to see the source. A curtain flapping in the air conditioners wake. They giggled nervously. Speaking in broken English.
"You, you can relax now." Yet their eyes, this time, betrayed them. A flash in the second girls deep green eyes revealed the truth.
I breathed in deep, what were my options, looking feverishly around the cabin for possibilities.
Noticing my anguish she stood up and sat in front of me, those deep green eyes… I could just get lost in them. So understanding. So genuine.
"You, You relax now." She said firmly, as firm as one can be with such an accent.
I can relax.
There was something about her that put me at peace, distracted me from my woes, from my troubles. Something hypnotic about the whole situation.
It was strange, but no matter.
I can relax.
And so i did.
