Australia and it's cities.

  • Sydney: Tourist attractions with amazing beaches. Don't go out west though unless you want to get shanked.
  • Melbourne: Shopping, coffee, AFL, Frankston is the big no-no.
  • Brisbane: Don't you fucking call it BrisVegas!
  • Adelaide: The Great Australian Bight. Nothing else.
  • Darwin: Crocodiles, snakes. Shit all but red dirt.
  • Hobart: Beautiful scenery. Incest.
  • Perth: Amazing beaches, rich cunts. Don't go to the end of the train lines.
  • Canberra: Parliament. That's it.
  • Gold Coast: Theme Parks and Beaches

The most complained about Ad in Australia in 2011 is about to return. Brisbane, the Gold Coast and some parts of central and northern Queensland will see the above photo from ‘Healthy Communities’ (which promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Queenslanders) plastered on billboards and bus stops across the state.
The ad was the most complained about in Australia, with the Advertising Standards board receiving 222 complaints.
The Australian Christian Lobby launched a mass campaign against last year’s ad which featured a gay couple hugging in a friendly way, with one holding a condom.
Advertising company Adshel pulled the posters down but put them back up again days later after accepting that the ACL had “orchestrated” a push to remove the ad, as well as over 90,000 Facebook fans advocating for it to be re-established.
Personally, I’m glad that this company is doing something the Government won’t; not only recognising and addressing safe sex, but also advocating for all sexualities to address this safety issue.
To follow this, $2.5 Million in annual funding (AUD) was pulled from Healthy Communities by the Conservative State Government, Healthy Communities is now relying upon fundraising to ensure that they are able to maintain the company and it’s work towards awareness and help.
