Don’t you miss it?

Recently it was reminded about how little children act.

My friend and I were at a local playground, where we see two children, who clearly didn’t know each other, decided they would play with each other. After an hour or so the children were the best of friends, un-judging, just enjoying the moment, enjoying the fun, spending time in the sandbox.

Whilst the parents sat at separate ends of the park bench too occupied in their phones, taking little notice in their children and their newly found friendship.

Have we lost it?

Many of us now would never consider approaching an individual that we do not already know, let alone spend the whole afternoon with them without judging them.

And why can’t we? Are we so restricted within our current trends and social structures that we cannot take a leap? Cannot revert back to our childhood nature and take a risk?

What have we come to?

Let me propose something, try it, be different, break free from the social norm.

Tomorrow, go out of your way to get to know someone you don’t usually speak to.

Your personality for one, it really is unique.
You are always there, despite me not asking for it, i value it so much.
Possibly more than i let on…
Yes, i have had these hardships for many years, yes they have affected me in so many different ways, however, small things like the ones you do for me.
They make a huge difference.
You said once; “Its honestly not that much of a big deal”, to you maybe, it may not be, but to me, it honestly changed my life, and my thoughts, increased my appreciation for you.
I could continue going on forever talking about how much of a difference you have made, and how great a person you are.
But three things i want to say?
Please Continue what you are doing for others, me and yourself.
Its amazing. It means a lot.
Do not doubt yourself. If need be I’m here for you as well.
and most importantly thank-you, truly.

This applies to a few people who i consider to be my greatest friends, you know who you are.

Day 1 - Best Friend.

To be honest, i dont have one set best friend.. but i’ll give it a whirl to the ones i consider are my best friends.

If you are upset that you are not on here, i’m sorry, drop me a line and i’ll tell you personally. :)

To the greatest people in my life,

You are amazing people, you guys are my world. Always making me happy when i’m with you, the moments we have shared are filled with laughter, happiness and pure friendship. You guys are true friends, i am glad to consider you my best friends, you truly make a difference to my life.

(In no particular order)

Ali, my longest and dearest friend, met at three years of age and married several weeks later :) It has been 14 long and great years. You have an amazing smile, laugh and great bubbly personality, one i thoroughly enjoy being around, thank you for being in my life, i’m sorry that we are a country apart, but glad we are still the best of friends.

Melissaaaa, in the last three years i have known you we have grown very close, and i am glad for it, you are a great, amazing and truly beautiful person, you are understanding, and always there when need it, we manage to have a great time when spent together.

Maddy, what to say about you bub, well we have been best friends the whole time i have known you, and we’ve been through many ups and downs that life have kindly and generously offered us, you are an amazing person, a truly great singer, and an inspirational person, i admire what you have done to get where you are today. 

Casey, despite what happened to us recently, it was for the better, i still will always consider us best friends and am glad we remained so with what happened. You were always there to help me, and i you, and i have become a better person because of your help. You are a hilarious person with the cheeky personality in which i love, and keeps me in check (sometimes). Thank you for the times we shared together, the moments and the memories that i shall cherish forever.

I love each and every one of you.

You are truly great people.

For those who i have not mentioned, you are still my best friends, and i still hold dear to.
